The Ladies Man

Teresa Wentzel

The Ladies Man8X11 copy.jpg

The recently married Dr. Hercule Molineaux tells "one, tiny, little, hardly noticeable lie" to cover an innocent, but embarrassing indiscretion.  From that single untruth tumbles a cascade of increasingly convoluted deceptions, misunderstandings and mistaken identities.  Compounding Molineaux's troubles are: a suspicious wife, a gorgon of a mother-in-law, an outrageously aggressive female patient and her violently jealous Prussian husband, a well-intentioned friend with a serious lisp, a valet with an attitude, a maid with a secret, and more slamming doors than realistic architecture should ever accommodate....all adding up to a hilariously, zany and infectiously charming farce!

The Honey Harvest

Teresa Wentzel

Melissa Holt has wanted to keep bees since a Czech farm woman told her, as a child, that when times are good, honeybees sing.  Now in her mid-twenties and the sole caregiver for her ailing father, Melissa sets up a beehive in the backyard and, with her father's constant pressure, learns life-changing lessons as she installs package bees, catches a swarm during a thunderstorm, and harvests her first miraculous honey crop.  She also learns the bees have their own ways and can't be controlled and that some danger exists when keeping bees.  When Melissa's father is laid to rest beneath the most beautiful wind-blown white pine in all of western Wisconsin, nature has again taken control - and the bees sing.

Bloody Murder

Teresa Wentzel

Bloody Murder8x11.jpg

A group of the usual murder-mystery types gather for a weekend retreat at the sumptuous country estate of the esteemed Lady Somerset.  There's the major who served in India, the inebriated, fading actor, the innocent ingenue, the exotic lady in red, the mysterious Chinese gentleman, the rich dowager aunt and her faithful maid and worthless nephew.  Suddenly, one of them dies of poisoning!  Well, of course!  Oh, what fun!  But wait....Her ladyship refuses to summon the police! She says she won't go through all this again.  All what, again? And why were they all invited here in the first place?  Is this actually just another formulaic, all-too-predictable mystery story? Or is it something diabolically....different? Agatha Christie meets Pirandello, as characters rebel against their author.  It's bloody murder!
